Design of 60 MN main hydraulic cylinder of squeezing casting based on finite element analysis

Abstract: Aiming at solve the problems of the hydraulic cylinder structure optimization, the key components stress minimization and their weight reduction, the finite element structural analysis and optimization technology were investigated to design the main hydraulic cylinder of squeeze casting machine. Firstly,the hydraulic cylinder was designed to meet the requirements through theoretical formula,and analyzed on finite element method by ANSYS,and set the parameters of static load in accordance with the actual working environment,then the vonmises stress was obtained. Finally, the design was optimized, the optimal solution was selected, and the results of the analysis were compared to find the optimal design of hydraulic cylinder. The results indicate that the method can effectively reduce the local stress and lower the manufacturing costs.
