Design of signal collection and processing system of fiber probe based on DSP

Abstract: In order to synchronously collect and fleetly process the threechannel fiber signal of fiber bragg grating(FBG) 3D probe, an embedded signal collection and processing system based on digital signal processor(DSP) was designed. The TMS320F2812 was used as a processor, which frequency was 150 MHz, and AD7656 as the A/D converter, which could synchronously sample the sixchannel signal and had 16bit DC accuracy. It was realized that this system could synchronously collect and realtime calculate the sum of the threechannel fiber signal. When the results satisfied the reference value, a trigger signal was sent to the external device by the system. Through using serial port to communicate with PC, the samplingaccuracy of the system was verified and the data was preserved. The test results show that the system has good synchronouscapability, high responsespeed and samplingaccuracy less than 3 mV, so it can be used to collect and process the signal of FBG probe.
