Real-time simulation of high-speed EMU traction drive system based on RT-LAB

Abstract: Aiming at how to build the simulation model of hardware in the loop in a high-speed EMU traction drive system and realize the real-time online monitoring of the semaphore in the system,the RT-LAB real-time simulation and the controller based on the development platform of GE CT11 system were used to build the simulation model of hardware in the loop in the high-speed EMU traction drive system. Because the algorithm is simple and the result is accurate,direct torque control(DTC) method was used in the inverter to drive the induction motors. In order to make the whole system closer to the actual high-speed EMU,the train communication network(MVB)was introduced into the system to realize the communication with the simulation model of hardware in the loop. In the environment of train communication network,the operating speed curve of the system is relatively smooth under the limited speed range and it can meet the requirements of the actual EMU running speed. The results indicate that this system can get the results of different operation conditions in real time according to the EMU operating characteristics curve and it has an important significance to the real-time online monitoring of the traction motor.
