Structural optimization of U type SCS-100T electronic truck scale

Abstract: Aiming at the problem that low material utilization and large mass of truck scale, the method of structural optimization design can be introduced in the process of design of truck scale body. The finite element optimization model was built, which defined the geometry of U beam and weighing platform as design variables, maximum deflection as constraint condition and weight as the objective function, by APDL language. The geometry was determined by analysis. The results show that, on the premise of stiffness and strength, the quality of this structure is reduced by 6.7%. The purpose of lowering the weight is achieved and material utilization is improved.
