Improve on the noise eliminating performance of internal

Abstract: Aiming at improving the noise eliminating performance of one internal combustion forklift air intake system, the noise eliminating performance of it was investigated. After the analysis of design and calculation methods of dissipative muffler, expanded muffler and Helmholtz resonant muffler, an improving design scheme of this intake system was provided, including the design of intake muffler, air cleaner and intake piping. And it was evaluated and verified by the acoustic finite element simulation and intake system noise test. The simulation and experimental results indicate that the noise eliminating performance of internal combustion forklift air intake system improved is apparently better. In engine idle speed condition and max speed condition the noise eliminating performance of the improved air intake system is increased by 2dB~3dB and 4dB~6dB increments are reach at some key frequency bands.
