Abstract: Aiming at the problem that the development period of the electronic control system of high pressure common rail diesel engine is longer and the development cost is higher, through the research on the model based software development process, the model of the main fuel injection quantity control of high pressure common rail diesel engine was established under the Matlab/Simulink environment. The control algorithm model includes the model of the limit value of smoke, starting the oil quantity control model, the model of the idle oil quantity control, the PID control model and the pulse width conversion model. The key MAP diagram of the control algorithm model was calibrated to verify the validity of the proposed control algorithm. A series of experiments were carried out on the engine test bench using INCA calibration software. The results indicate that, the engine starts up quickly and steadily, and can adjust the target oil automatically according to the environment and the current requirement of the engine. The algorithm can meet the requirement of engine starting, idle and normal operation.
