Abstract: Aiming at the limited usage of hybrid permanentmagnet synchronous motor in servocontrol applications, based on its structural features, the fluxweakening performance was analyzed, and the control strategies were summarized and studied. A sensorless control strategy was proposed which applies constant currentfrequency ratio control in its lowspeed range and uses stateobserver as the feedback for rotor position during the highspeed range, the experimental platform based on STM32 ARM CortexM4 MCU was set up, the closedloop control mode can be switched to when 20 percent of the base speed is reached, and the speed can be expanded to 4 times of the base speed, this verified the effectiveness of the control strategy. The results indicate that the hybrid permanentmagnet synchronous motor has excellent fluxweakening performance, and the sensorless control strategy can meet the performance requirements of the servo system with wide speed range on the basis of cost advantages. It expands the application range of the hybrid PMSM driving system.
