Remote electrocardiogram telemonitoring based on wireless sensor networks

Abstract: To provide a telecardiology service to patients in real-time mode, which are not affected by any factors, such as time and place, a design of a mobile monitoring terminal based on wireless sensor networks was proposed. The system adopt CC2420 which supports the ZigBee protocol as the ECG data receiver. Embedded Linux and QT/Embedded were ported on S3C2440 CPU as human-computer interface. And whats more, a threshold method for calclulate the rate of heart and adaptive difference threshold method for detection of QRS was proposed, so doctors can analysis and diagnose. Test results show that, algorithm is simple and feasible, the hardware and software present good performance.
