Approximate synthesis of crankslider mechanism for guidance

Abstract: Approximate synthesis of crankslider mechanism for guidance can be solved by numerical method, but it has low efficiency because of too many parameters(seven). In order to solve this problem, an efficient solution was presented. The linkage was decomposed into two parts,and each of them was synthesized respectively. The crankslider mechanism was obtained by combining the solutions.The number of parameters was decreased,and the efficiency was enhanced.Two equations of synthesis were deduced. An example was provided and three suitable linkages were obtained by using real continuation method. Results show that the optimal design of the planar mechanism could be choiced further.
