Abstract: Diesel engine has an advantage in power, economy and reliability contrast to gasoline engine, but it also has a serious disadvantage with high NOx emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to add an aftertreatment device. aiming at avoiding resonance with engine, a diesel engine aftertreatment finite element model was established with ANSYS Workbench. Modal analysis was conducted on the aftertreatment device through the software of ANSYS Workbench so as to identify the modal parameters of the aftertreatment device, the first 6 natural frequencies and vibration features. And the results show that the natural frequency of the aftertreatment device is greater than that of the engine, and it won′t produce resonance. The results provide theoretical basis for designing and improving diesel aftertreatment devices.
