Abstract: In order to solve the problems of low efficiency and difficulty to design pleasant compensator transfer function, which exist in the conventional method during the application of highpower switching power supply whose output voltage can be regulated, an improved method was presented to solve these problems, one secondary winding of highfrequency transformer was changed into multiple windings which connect with the bridge rectifiers which connect in series, and the relays connected in series in the branch of each secondary winding, controlling the transferring of power of each secondary winding. A prototype of 650 W rated power, three different output levels 145 V, 380 V, 730 V was established to verify the effectiveness of this improved method. The experimental results show that this method is feasible and practical.
