Design of novel electrical parameter measurement system based on DSP

Abstract: Aiming at the motor parameter test, a new kind of electrical parameter measurement system was investigated. After the analysis of various sized motors, hardware and software construction was established. Voltage, current, power, power factor and frequency were measured by using high-accuracy A/D converter and DSP chip, with results shown through computer. For medium and small-sized motors, the system can test parameters of DC and single-phase AC simultaneously, also three-phase electrical parameters, switching smoothly between AC & DC; rotating-speed is additionally measured when DC brush motor is under test. Voltage and current auto-scale is achieved along with different input ranges. The experimental results show that the system is of high precision and stable performance, and it can meet the actual requirement.
