Abstract: In order to study insulator flashover occurrence characteristics, reduce the transmission of polluted insulator flashover hazard, the leakage current of insulators, salt density and micro meteorology on-line monitoring technology was implicated in transmission line. The analysis and research of site operation insulator leakage current, salinity and temperature and humidity on-line monitoring data were developed, and the relationship of factors model with the insulator surface contamination, insulating properties and surface leakage current, salinity and temperature and humidity was established. Some deficiencies were presented only by leakage current value judgment of insulator surface contamination degree. Through the leakage current, salt density and environmental temperature and humidity of multiple on-line monitoring parameters, the accurate assessment of insulator surface contamination and insulator strings can be obtained. The results show that, the analysis provides important reference value for the late heavy polluted area line overhaul work.
