Abstract: During earthquakes, fires and other emergent natural disasters, the buildings will be destroyed severely and the trapped lives can not be guaranteed. Aiming at this problem, a new family refuge chamber was planned. The overall design of the family refuge chamber was introduced briefly and the structure diagram of the chamber was shown. Besides, the strength of the chamber was analyzed by finite element software and the impact resistance of the chamber was strengthened based on the equivalent stress nephogram and the displacement deformation nephogram of the chamber. What′s more, the structure of cabin was designed which can improve the high temperature resistance of the chamber. And the lifesupport system necessary for the survival of the trapped was also provided inside. The results indicate that the family refuge chamber not only has impact resistance, high temperature resistance and good tightness, but also is configured a perfect lifesupport system inside, which can provide a reliable and stable living space for the trapped.
