Abstract: In order to analyze the problems of the users′ attention to the external appearance and internal decoration design of the electromechanical product quantificationally, the loader was used as the case to illustrate the application of eye-tracking theory on the external appearance and internal decoration design of the electromechanical product. Based on the introduction of eye-tracking theory and its application, an eye-tracking experiment was performed on the professional practitioners and non-professional practitioners. The external appearance and internal decoration design of the loader were evaluated and analyzed quantificationally on the eye-tracking documents and data processing, and the conclusions of the components′ attention distribution and the improvement of the design were obtained .The experimental results show that the eye-tracking experiment is an effective tool in the electromechanical product design.
