on reverse engineering

Abstract:Aiming at shortening the product development cycle and meeting the needs of product rapid development response and rapid 3D shape update,aircondition remoter 3D Model reconstruction and redesign was taken as an example,these aspects were analyzed:point clouds data measurement,point clouds data processing to get high quality point clouds,point clouds geometric topology analysis,3D shape reconstructed method and the redesign method of the 3D model by considering the requirements. The design methods based on the reverse engineering were summarized and a new efficient product design method was brought out by combining the forward and reverse engineering design method. The analysis results indicate that redesign based on reverse engineering method will improve the product development efficient greatly and shorten the time to market。
