Characteristics of vibration control based on the
piezoelectric selfsensing vibration damper

Abstract: Aiming at the practicality of piezoelectric materials as actuators to reduce the vibration, the smart materials as the sensing element and a driving element for vibration control was investigated, the model of piezoelectric selfsensing vibration was set up. After the analysis of piezoelectric selfsensing vibration, the feedback results were evaluated on the smart structural vibration control, the natural frequency of the system could be changed by changing the capacitance value and the damping ratio changed to provide feedback for the selfsensing,the model of piezoelectric selfsensing vibration was presented to do the experiment and simulation.The results indicate that the system can achieve a good selfsensing of the feedback effects and vibration control of smart structures.
