Abstract: Aiming at solving the problems of actuators′ high reliability, the Dual redundancy Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) was investigated. After the analysis of the principle of Dual redundancy BLDCM, the mathematical model of Dual redundancy BLDCM was established based on the motor voltage balance equation and motion equation. A method was presented to control the Dual redundancy BLDCM using the double closed loop control. The model of Dual redundancy BLDCM double closed loop control system was established with the Matlab/Simulink and simulated. An experimental platform for Dual redundancy BLDCM control was proposed based on a microcontroller DSPIC30F2010. The control system is simulated and experimented under the single and double windings operation mode. The simulation and experimental results indicate the validity and correct of this control strategy.
