Temperature field calculation of the extrusion molding machine direct drive permanent magnet motor

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of high temperature of direct drive permanent magnet motor of extrusion molding machine, Calculation model of the motor, coefficient of heat transfer, coefficient of cooling water, loss calculation and the temperature field calculation were researched. Winding copper loss, iron loss considering the influence of harmonic and stray loss were studied by using the method of field circuit coupling collaborative simulation. A three dimensional model of the permanent magnet motor was constructed, the water cooling system of the machine was designed and the three dimensional steady state temperature rise of the motor was calculated through ansys in order to obtain the temperature field distribution of the key parts. Finally the experimental study of temperature rise was carried out. The results indicate that the loss calculation is accurate by using the method of field circuit coupling collaborative simulation, the calculated value can make a good agreement with the measured, the accuracy of the calculation method is verified and certain reference for the design of the direct drive permanent magnet motor is provided.
