Modification research of high profile shifted gear

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of transmission lash, scuffing and noise caused by the high addendum gear of drilling platform decelerator in the low\|speed and heavy mechanical transmission operation mode, a pair of high\|speed gears of the decelerator was researched. Feasible modification parameters and design of gear were adopted to study and test through the research of transforming the characteristics, antiscuffing safety factor, mesh quality and transmission error of the gear. Comparison of the parameters like strength et al before and after the modification was made. The results indicate that it is necessary to make the reasonable design for improving meshing quality, antiscuffing capacity and reducing transmission error and noise of gear. This research provides reference for profile modification low\|speed and heavy gear in engineering application.
