Sliding block type rivets feeding component of automatic drilling & riveting system

Abstract: Aiming at the problem that it was hard to send rivets in automatic drilling & riveting system of industry robots platform, a sliding block type rivets feeding component which could deliver rivets for automatic drilling & riveting machine automatically was introduced. The success rate of sending was low and it was hard to send rivets one by one during the sending process from rivets\|storage pipe to rivets sending pipe, by the analyzing of the space, stress state and reasonable structural design, a rivets sending method was presented which made sure that rivets were sent one by one by two air cylinders and delivered rivets from rivets\|storage pipe to rivets\|sending pipe by a sliding block with a rivet hole in it and then delivered the rivets to the target position of the automatic drilling & riveting machine by airflow. Then the necessary conditions were obtained in which the rivets could be sending one by one, like the length and the minimum air pressure of the air cylinder. The results indicate that the reliability and success rate are increased because of the closing type sending mode, the results by experiments and calculate validate the feasibility of the rivets feeding component in automatic drilling & riveting system.
