Research of power distribution network multi stage expansion planning  considering self healing

Abstract: Aiming at power supply reliability in the operation of power distribution network, self healing control technology was applied to the distribution network expansion planning. A multi stage expansion planning method considering self healing functions was carried out. The proposed method was analyzed in a 24 bus test system, and sloved the mix integer nonlinear programming problem by genetic algorithms. On the one hand, self healing functions were added to the distribution expansion planning, enabled the distribution network to prevent and recover from power failure automatically, reduced outage cost and decreased outage time. On the other hand, the model was based on life circle cost, considered short time and long term investment, made the expansion planning economic. The results indicate that multistage expansion planning method considering self healing functions can improve reliability of distribution network operation, and profits are larger.
