Speed control of switched reluctance motor based on current sharing method

Abstract: Aiming at solving the speed control problems of the switched reluctance motor(SRM), the idea of the coordinate transformation of the AC motor was used. The method of the AC motor coordinate transformation can be applied to the SRM current transformation. Through a series of math computation, the reference phase current of the SRM can be acquired. After the analysis of closeloop control scheme of the SRM, a novel current sharing method(CSM) was proposed and closeloop control of the current for SRM was acquired. The proposed method not only needed not the mathematical model of the SRM, but also needed not the computation of the turnon and turnoff angle for the SRM. The CSM was evaluated on the Matlab/Simulink and the experiment platform. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method is feasibility and the experiment results prove rightness and effectiveness of the proposed method.
