Parametric analysis and investment casting of lattice sandwich structure

Abstract: Aiming at improving the mechanical properties of the lattice sandwich structures under the condition of flat pressure, the unit cell of the pyramid sandwich structure was analyzed and the pyramid model with the variable parameters of the lenth L, the radius R and the angle W of the column was established. The influence of the three parameters on the flat compression performance of the lattice sandwich structure was analyzed through the finite element analysis.The reasonable integrated gating system with the combination of bottom injection type and vertical slit type was designed. And the investment casting of the pyramid sandwich structures with the optimal parameters was simulated. The results indicate that the pyramid lattice sandwich structure has good static performance when L=32 mm, W=60 and R are in 1.5 mm-2.5 mm and good casting property when the pouring temperature is 1 700 ℃, filling speed is 80 mm/s.
