A research on the predictive control strategy of a plugin hybrid electric car

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of no considering the future vehicle speed for plugin hybrid (PHEV) traditional control strategy, by predicting the future speed, a predictive future speed control strategy was proposed under the vehicle travel mode, and a reasonable distribution of the engine and the motor torque was achieved. By embedding the development of new predictive control strategy in ADVISOR, and the simulations were conducted under the NEDC. The results show that: the future of the automobile with the speed control strategy can be predicted on the engine and the motor torque rational allocation, about hundred kilometers 6.5L, fuel economy is improved by about 7.14%, but emissions is also reduced, so verify based prediction information control policy effectiveness.
