Abstract: Aiming at the problem of electrochemical machining small holes,the influencing factors of machining accuracy,the method of feature detection,the processing of digital image were studied,and the function relation between the working circle length and radial clearance,the volum of electrolyte in the hole was concluded when electrolytic machining.A method based on Matlab digital image processing technology was proposed,and the microhole images obtained by electrolysis were filtered, denoised, edge detected and feature extracted,and the geometric feature parameter values such as small hole roundness, taper and roughness were obtained by quantitative analysising of microhole images.Furthermore, the machining errors were quantitatively evaluated according to the test results, and the parameters of electrolytic machining were adjusted in time.The results indicate that the detection method which is well designed has low detection rate, low leakage rate and short detection time.
