Abstract: Aiming at the problem of the influence of the antiroll bar on the handling stability of the passenger car, the relationship between the antiroll bar and the antirolling ability of the vehicle was studied. A simplified mathematical model of passenger car was proposed, and the relationship between the roll angle of the vehicle and the stiffness of the antiroll bar was established. The influence of the stiffness of the antiroll bar on the roll of the vehicle was obtained by analyzing the simplified mathematical model of a passenger car. Based on ADAMS, the vehicle model was established, and the influence of the antiroll bar stiffness of the front axle/rear axle to the handling stability was obtained through the test and simulation under the two working conditions of intermediate position steering and steady state rotation. The simulation results show that with the increase of the stiffness, the roll angle of the frame decreases nonlinearly, and the slope of the roll angle curve decreases gradually. The simulation results indicate that the simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis results, and provides a theoretical basis for the stiffness design of antiroll bars.
