Abstract: Aiming at the problem of low efficiency in the design and development of traditional mechanical and electrical equipment, the digital twin technology was applied to the development of tool preprocessor. Using NX, ANSYS, TIA and other software, the mechanical structure modeling, static analysis, fluid dynamics simulation and electrical control system design were carried out in parallel. Based on the establishment of motion pair, communication environment and signal mapping, the MCD electromechanical simulation of tool preprocessor was carried out. The interaction between mechanical action of virtual prototype, sensor signal and PLC control program was realized, and the feasibility of the design was verified. The prototype system was built and tested. The results show that the grinding fluid on the milling cutter with in 4 kg can be removed effectively within 1 min of the prototype. The design method based on digital twin reduces the rework rate of prototype development, and improves the development efficiency of mechanical and electrical products.
