Abstract: Aiming at the problems of completeness and scalability of the semantic model in the design of complex mechanical products, knowledge modeling of intelligent design of complex mechanical products was studied and analyzed, and an improved ontology model of complex mechanical products was proposed. Extension theory and classical ontology model were integrated into this model. The concept of extension ontology, the definition of extension ontology, and the extension ontology theorem were extended. The related principles of extension ontology model were given. The specific implementation steps of ontology model establishment were proposed. Finally, a certain type of helicopter was taken as an example, and the extension ontology model establishment process of complex mechanical products was verified and analyzed. The results indicate that the extension ontology model proposed has good completeness and expansibility, which can provide support for the intelligent design of complex mechanical products.
