Abstract: In view of the design of the meshing parameters of the skiving and its accuracy influence, based on the principle of gapless conjugation, the meshing parameters of the skiving process were calculated iteratively and the accuracy strategy was analyzed, and a simulation model and installation method of the skiving were proposed. Firstly, based on the basic principle of helical gear meshing with space staggered axes, the process of rolling insert machining was simulated, and its advantages were analyzed. Then, the iterative formula of skiving meshing parameters was theoretically derived, its installation parameters were designed and solved, and the machining and installation model of skiving was established by VERICUT. The meshing parameters for rolling insert machining were solved. Finally, the influence of the accuracy of iterative process was studied, and the iterative optimization algorithm was designed. The design platform of skiving and inserting meshing parameters and the simulation test-bed of skiving and inserting machining were built. The results indicate that the iterative optimization algorithm can effectively calculate the meshing parameters of skiving, the iteration time can be reduced by 16.19%, and the calculation accuracy can be increased by more than 100 times, which verifies the validity of the simulation model and installation method of skiving.

Key words: gear machining; skiving design; spiral gears with crossed-axis in space; non-backlash conjugate meshing model; Newton iteration; iterative precision strategy analysis
