Abstract:  Aiming at the phenomenon where the below down isolation valve (BDIV) of atmospheric release valve which is one of the key components in the main steam valve set (MSVS) of nuclear power plant tends to respond over the fixed time in the actual working condition, the dynamic response process of solenoid pilot valve controlling the opening and closing process of BDIV was analyzed. During the process of analysis, the method of dynamic mesh and user defined function (UDF) technology in the software Fluent were used. First, the moving process of the pilot structure of the solenoid pilot valve was simulated, and the relationship between its axial displacement and the fluid force of the valve stem with time was analyzed. Then, the dynamic response process during the opening of the main valve of the solenoid pilot valve was simulated, and the pressure and velocity distribution were analyzed at the time when the main valve of solenoid pilot valve began to release the pressure. Finally, the motion time of the whole solenoid pilot valve was analyzed by synthesizing the dynamic response process of different stages. The results of the research show that the moving time of the solenoid pilot valve is 8.5ms, in which the moving time of the pilot structure is relatively small. Also, the conclusion that 85% of the time is concentrated on the dynamic opening process of main valve in the solenoid pilot valve can be drawn. This research provides a reference for optimizing the response time of the BDIV.
