Abstract: In order to solve the problems of complex and low accuracy of the on line evaluation for machine parts, the genetic algorithm was investigated. According to the working principle of the measuring device, the mathematical model of the cylindrical error evaluation was established and simplified. The minimum regional error was evaluated, by using the genetic algorithm of real number encoding and transfer operator. The construction of the system was accomplished by the on line detection device and mixed program of Matlab and VC, and the performance of the system was tested by the experimental data. The research results show that the error evaluation system can simplify the processing and meet the accuracy requirement of parts detection.
