Abstract: Aiming at the problem that traditional hydraulic regenerative braking vehicle has poor regenerative braking characteristic on high braking strength, research on regenerative braking process of the system was done, then two small accumulators with different initial pressure were proposed as energy storage units of hydraulic regenerative system. A hydraulic regenerative braking system test bench was built, and the influence of the accumulator main parameters on the hydraulic regenerative braking process was analyzed by bench test. The simulation model of a double accumulator parallel hydraulic regenerative braking vehicle was built in the ADVISOR platform, and the braking characteristics of the system was obtained by simulation. The research results indicate that the regenerative braking torque provided by the system has linear relationship with the pressure of accumulator, and the smaller the accumulators volume is, the faster its pressure rises. The regenerative braking with double accumulator effectively increase the range of regenerative braking torque and improve the energy recovery efficiency of the system.
